Biography
Veronique is the Assistant Director for Clinical Research Accounts in the Office for Clinical Research (OCR) and is responsible for team productivity and business performance. Veronique started at the Emory School of Medicine in 2014 as a research coordinator overseeing multiple clinical trials. She joined OCR in 2016 as a Clinical Research Finance Manager on the Clinical Research Financial Management team. Veronique has in-depth knowledge of research compliance, research coordinating, and management of research grants and processes. Veronique is Research Administration at Emory (RAE) certified and co-author of publications in various peer-reviewed research journals.

Biography
Vanessa is a Supervisor for Clinical Research Accounts in the Office for Clinical Research (OCR). Vanessa started at the Winship Cancer Institute, working in several positions (Contract Data Manager, Clinical Research Coordinator and Lymphoma Team Lead, respectively) from 2012-2019. She joined OCR in December 2019, as a Sr. Clinical Research Finance Manager (SCRFM). Vanessa has knowledge of research compliance, research coordination and management of research grants and processes. Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Science and Health Administration and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional.

Biography
Jessica joined the Office for Clinical Research in 2018 and serves as a Clinical Research Finance Manager. Prior to joining OCR, she worked in the Emory Clinic with multiple departments (Oral Surgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, and Bariatrics). Her experience includes, customer service, patient relations and an understanding of the medical field. Jessica earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration degree from South University.

Biography
Akhila graduated from University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. She published her undergraduate thesis on “The Prevalence of e-Cigarette Use According to Educational Attainment among Young Adults in the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study”. She has worked as a Healthcare Assistant at OMNI Primary Care for 2 years, and then as a Clinical Research Assistant at AGILE Clinical Trials for 3 years before starting her current role in Emory as Clinical Research Finance Manager. She is currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration with a Focus in Healthcare Administration.

Biography
Jayme started working at Emory in 2003 as a patient service coordinator. She was then was promoted to different roles such as a surgery coordinator, medical secretary, and Sr. Administrative Assistant for the department of Otolaryngology. Her academic background includes attending Tennessee State University and Georgia State University. In her spare time, she dabbles in photography, and owns a candle business.

Biography
Sharita Dudley is a Clinical Research Finance Manager, Sr. She joined the Office for Clinical Research March 2020 after 14 years of financial services experience in the healthcare industry at Emory Healthcare. Currently, she is responsible for performing a detailed analysis of all industry clinical trial accounts for invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. She is a proud United States Navy Veteran with experience in monitoring and oversight of government accounts. Sharita earned her Associates in Health Information Technology from DeVry University, and a Bachelors in Technical Management with a minor in Health Service Management from DeVry University.

Ayesha began her journey with Emory at Emory Hillandale Hospital in 2018, and joined Emory University in the Office of Clinical Research in 2021 as a Clinical Research Finance Manager. Ayesha has several years of administrative and financial experience in different areas of healthcare ranging from registration, to billing and other financial processes. Ayesha's academic background includes a Bachelor's in Healthcare Management from Clayton State University, and a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Monroe College.

Biography
Offei Koram is a Senior Clinical Research Finance Manager in the Office for Clinical Research (OCR). Offei started at the Emory School of Medicine in 2015 as a research coordinator overseeing multiple clinical trials. Offei joined OCR in 2018 and is responsible for managing industry sponsored grants. His duties include invoicing industry sponsors, reconciliation of patient charges, regulatory compliance and optimization of the clinical trials process. Offei obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Medical Sciences from Mississippi College. He is also SOCRA certified.

Biography
Alena Marbury is a Clinical Research Finance Manager for Emory University's Office for Clinical Research (OCR) Invoicing Team. She is responsible for generating monthly study-status reports to study teams, and invoices to sponsors for visit level, pass-through and milestones items and services with Emory Healthcare billables, including patient and non-patient activities. In addition, she is responsible for receipt of payments from sponsors; processing patient stipends, travel reimbursements, and payments to external vendors. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Before coming to OCR, Alena worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Georgia, Emory Winship Cancer Institute. She takes genuine pleasure in providing excellent customer service.

Chaunda began her Emory career in the Healthcare system in 2001. She transferred to the University in December 2019 as a Senior Clinical Research Finance Manager in the Office for Clinical Research. Chaunda is responsible for research project management as well as entering research budgets into the Emory Research Management System (ERMS). Chaunda is a former US Navy Hospital Corpsman who trained as an EMT/Paramedic as well as all patient care related hospital services. She is currently pursuing her degree in Health Sciences and has been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

April began her journey at Emory with Patient Access in 2005. From there, she served as the Patient Care Coordinator in the Department of Otolaryngology for over ten years. She joined the Office for Clinical Research in 2021 as a Clinical Research Finance Specialist. April has several years of administrative and financial experience in care coordination support, scheduling, data entry, and leadership. April's academic background includes attending Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA majoring in Architecture, completing the Emory Healthcare Emerging Leader Program and completing the Certified Nursing Assistant program from Advanced Healthcare Enterprises.
