The Office for Clinical Research hosts Research Matters educational events to update the Emory clinical research community on new regulations, policies, and procedures. Speakers include MDs, PhDs, clinical research coordinators, and outside community representatives who provide information about the latest research at Emory, oversight and compliance processes, and new ways to improve research.
Attendees at Research Matters events are eligible to receive up to 1.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours through the EUSOM Office of Continuing Education (OCME), which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). All individuals in a position to control the educational content of this activity (faculty, planner, reviewers, etc) disclosed they had no financial relationships with commercial interests. The SOM CME Office issues certificates after each event.
Event Frequency: 3-4 times per year.

Event Registration:
Log in to Brainier via the Self-Service Portal, click on the "Learning Management" Tile, and then click on the "Learning Management-Brainier" Tile.
Enter your Emory University Network ID and password.
Click in the search bar at the top of the page.
Enter the course name “Research Matters.”
Click “Register" for the course start date you want to attend.
Click “Register" in the pop-up window to confirm enrollment.
Note: You must have an Emory University Network ID to sign up for Research Matters. If you are a CHOA, Grady, or VA employee, please sign in using your sponsored account username and password.
